Cod and potato brandade with watermelon radish salad and garlic toasts #blueapron . Never heard of brandade. And was creeped out that something that looked like a pasta dish with breadcrumbs on top had fish in it. But we liked it. The salad was pretty, I've never even seen watermelon radishes before. I thought it good. Alan said he preferred Caesar dressing and the radishes were hard. 😂 And the garlic toasts? Loved that it was so easy to make and tasty. We will definitely make the toasts again.
Roast pork with sautéed spinach and olive smashed potatoes #blueapron . I don't usually eat olives so wasn't sure about the smashed potatoes but it was good! Alan said, what's wrong with just potatoes and butter? And I liked the spinach with lemon zest. So simple. Alan just scrunched his face up when I asked how he liked the spinach. The pork, we thought was ok.
This buffalo chicken sandwich was ok. I liked the endive and blue cheese salad more. Probably the cheese that helped in that department. Alan, not liking blue cheese did not have any cheese. He thought the burger needed something... Maybe he needed the cheese. 😁#blueapron
Seared salmon and salsa verde with orange, spinach and farro salad #blueapron . I really liked this one, especially the salsa verde. Alan said it was ok and actually agreed to more salsa verde than the initial bite.
#blueapron Seared cod and date vinaigrette with browned butter, quinoa, and spinach salad. I missed a step. I do this more frequently than not. 😊 This time I didn't chop up the spinach. That didn't effect the taste at all. And instead of a radish they substituted it with a daikon radish. I don't know anything about radishes so don't know if that changed any flavoring. I ended up loving this salad with the cod just as it was. I don't think I would just eat cod by itself. But this, delicious. Alan only took a few bites. He definitely didn't love it. I think Alan's trying new food experiment may be coming to an end....
