It's the early hours of the morning here but I think we just finished the last vocal track for our album which is also the last piece of recording to do... Should I sleep or party? And by party I mean watch television in bed.

Can't put into words how important this woman has been in my life. Tonight I saw her play in my hometown, it was intense, magical, challenging, emotional and a once in a lifetime opportunity. I... just... can't... even...
This was a really special night for us. The setting was spectacular - the open, unused 16th floor of 1140 Broadway (5.6.15) - meaning that we got to play while looking out over nighttime Manhattan. It was also the night when (almost!) everyone who had been involved in putting together the Secret Rooms tour got together to see what the fruits of their labour looked like. It was also the night when we fixed the neon sign so it no longer read "........ Rooms". It was also the night that a fan proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of the show! We closed the show with 'Rustle of the Stars' - the whole night was something we're not going to forget in a long time. Thank you so much to everyone who came and made it such a unique experience. New music coming this fall!
A group of 40 year-old skateboarders doing shots (loudly) in the corner of the room while the piano tuner was trying to do his job. No lighting in the green room except a rotating laser show. An indoor tree in the middle of the performance space. What links these things? Secret Rooms Washington DC (5.7.15) - definitely one of the vibier nights of the tour! What's weird is that in all the times we have been to DC we are still yet to see the White House. Does it actually exist? Is it possible they never rebuilt it after the aliens blew it up with that big blue laser in Independence Day? Link in bio.
New music coming this fall!
This was one of the easiest venues to confirm for us. More Than Words in Boston (5.4.2015) was a great fit for everything we were looking for in a Secret Room (its not that often you get to put on a full show in a bookshop!) but was also an opportunity for us to draw attention to a really worthwhile enterprise. Robert has always been a huge fan of @bjork - he has a pretty intimidating singles and rarities collection - and we weren't going to miss the opportunity to cover 'Hyperballad'. @Ancien is Chicago's premier bicycle shop - it's not somewhere you would normally expect to see A Silent Film play. It is probably the best example of what we wanted to achieve with Secret Rooms, as we were able to create a completely unique environment for the show. People just don't stage concerts in bicycle shops enough. It was one of the more challenging venues to set up in (due to the vast quantity of bikes everywhere!) but the result was a really unusual and particularly intimate gig. We're also pretty sure it was one of the shows in which Spencer left his harmonica somewhere backstage. Which happened quite a lot. (5.2.15) #SecretRooms #Chicago Link in bio.
